The DigItalia journal provides a new opportunity for APAC Labs to contribute to the advancement of digital heritage research through peer-reviewed international dialogue.

We’re excited to share that APAC Labs researcher Valentina Vassallo has been appointed to the Scientific Committee of DigItalia: Rivista del digitale nei beni culturali — a journal focused on digital technologies in cultural heritage.

Published by the Istituto Centrale per il Catalogo Unico delle biblioteche italiane e per le informazioni bibliografiche (ICCU), DigItalia is a key academic platform in Italy, fostering critical debate and scholarly exchange on the use of digital methods in the preservation, study, and enhancement of cultural heritage. Recognised as a Class A journal in fields such as Archaeology, Medieval and Modern History, and Historical-Religious Sciences, it publishes peer-reviewed essays, project reports, and discussions central to the digital heritage field.

Valentina’s appointment not only recognises her ongoing contribution to digital heritage research and interdisciplinary dialogue, but also signals a new collaborative opportunity for APAC Labs to gain increased visibility for our work, a new publication avenue for our interdisciplinary projects, and the chance to engage more actively in international academic exchange on digital cultural heritage innovation.

We’re looking forward to deepening connections within the heritage science community and contributing to DigItalia.
