Andreas joined the Cyprus Institute in April 2025, after obtaining his PhD in Physics from the University of Cyprus. His doctoral research focused on investigating the impact of various surface passivation techniques on the optoelectronic properties of inorganic metal halide perovskite nanocrystals (PNCs). His primary research interest lies in the application of advanced, non-invasive optical spectroscopy techniques to explore the optoelectronic characteristics of semiconductor materials engineered in nanostructured forms. Throughout his studies, he participated in numerous research projects, which allowed him to become deeply involved in the investigation and analysis of newly developed semiconductor nanomaterials, with a particular emphasis on PNCs.

Research interests: Advanced non – invasive experimental techniques, new light harvesting and Emitting technologies, Quantum nanomaterials
