Ourania Perdiki joined The Cyprus Institute in 2026 as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with her project MapLoS Cy (EXCELLENCE/0524/0433), funded by the Research and Innovation Foundation of Cyprus. She is an art historian and archaeologist specializing in Byzantine art. She holds a PhD from the University of Aix-Marseille (2016), an MA from the École Pratique des Hautes Études, Paris (2009), and a BA from the University of Crete (2008). She has taken part in numerous research projects and has received several competitive awards, including a DIDAKTOR Postdoctoral Grant (2018–2022) and a One-Month Research Fellowship in Byzantine Studies at Dumbarton Oaks (2019).


Research interests: Byzantine Art & Archaeology, Monumental Art, Local Saint Cults, Sacred Landscapes, Cultural Heritage, Digital Humanities
