Survey of the church of Stavros tou Agiasmati in Platanistasa

In the framework of the Invisible Heritage - Analysis and Technology (IH-AT) Project, the APAC Labs has performed the survey of the church of Stavros tou Agiasmati in Platanistasa. The pilot case study has seen the use of state of the art equipment for the digitization of the UNESCO site. Terrestrial Laser Scanning and Digital Photogrammetry have been applied so far to record hidden features of the religious complex. The APAC team will return to the site in the near future to perform further analysis, exploiting additional non-destructive technologies.

The IH-AT Project, funded by the Research Innovation Foundation of Cyprus (Excellence/0918/0144), will forge through the integration of expertise from different disciplines, essential links, and synergies for the delivery of innovative tools to tackle challenges related to the conservation, restoration, and knowledge of heritage sites.
