To celebrate its first three years of achievements, the Andreas Pittas Art Characterization (APAC) Laboratories of the Science and Technology in Archaeology and Culture Research Center (STARC) at The Cyprus Institute will host the symposium “Old Masters, New Tools: Science and Technology Approaches to Art History,” held on the 15th (9am-6pm) and the 16th (9am-1pm) of December 2022 at the premises of The Cyprus Institute in Nicosia.
Presentations by leading scholars in the field will discuss an array of scientific and technological approaches to the study, analysis and conservation of art. In addition, the symposium will provide the opportunity to highlight the exciting research pursued by the interdisciplinary team of APAC Labs.
