ARTES at the Cyprus Seeds Event

ARTES, represented by Associate Professor Nikolas Bakirtzis and the PhD Candidate Athanasios Koutoupas, was one of the 12 Cyprus Seeds teams that presented innovative ideas at the Cyprus Seeds Event, which took place in the London Science Museum on the 28th of April. ARTES showcased an innovative art characterization solution. The team is looking to commercialize its technology and scale it up. Cyprus Seeds offered the opportunity to ARTES to present the idea to art collectors, museums, and business angels at its first networking event in London.

More than 100 attendees consisting of early-stage investors, technology transfer experts, Cypriot professionals in the city of London, academics, and graduates from top UK universities, learned about Cyprus Seeds' contribution to nurturing the innovation ecosystem of Cyprus.  The team had a chance to get positive feedback during the event, that gives the team the strength to carry on with its effort. The importance of the event, as well as of the research which takes place in Cypriot universities, it’s characteristic of the wide publicity the whole event took in the news. The ARTES team is completed by Associate Professor Sorin Hermon and the PhD Candidate Valentina Vassalo.
