In an important academic achievement, CyI Associate Professor Sorin Hermon, alongside fellow authors Franco Niccolucci, Director of VAST-LAB research laboratory at PIN in Prato, Italy and Achille Felicetti, Senior Researcher at the University of Florence has been awarded the prestigious Data 2022 Best Paper Award for their paper titled “Populating the Data Space for Cultural Heritage with Heritage Digital Twins”.
All papers published in Data between 1st of January 2022 and 31st of December 2022, were considered for the award. After a thorough evaluation of the originality and significance of the papers, citations, and downloads, the winning paper was selected. Amongst a competitive pool of 189 submissions, their paper emerged victorious, impressing the award committee with its originality, significance, citations, and downloads. This recognition underscores the scholarly prowess of Hermon and his co-authors in the field.
