APAC at the Fourth International Conference on Byzantine and Medieval Studies

Last week, APAC Labs researchers Nicolette Vollero Levy, Mehmetcan Soyluoglu, Ropertos Georgiou, Svetlana Gasanova, Athanasios Koutoupas, and Nikolas Bakirtzis presented their work at the Fourth International Conference on Byzantine and Medieval Studies.

The conference, held in Nicosia, was organized by the Byzantinist Society of Cyprus and brought together over 100 scholars from around the world to present their research on the history, philosophy, and material culture of the Byzantine and Medieval world.

Our researchers showcased APAC Labs' advances in the study of sites and objects in across the Medieval Mediterranean. Papers concerning Cypriot icons, the Sourp Magar Monastery, and burial practices in early Christian Alexandria were presented.
