Antonia Agapiou

Antonia joined the Institute in September 2021 as a Research Assistant in Digital Archaeology. She has obtained a BSc in Anthropology from the University of Roehampton and an MSc in Forensic Archaeology from Bournemouth University. She spent 8 years in London working and gaining experience in archaeology. Antonia has been involved in a number of excavations both in the UK and in Cyprus and before joining the Institute worked with the Committee of Missing Persons in Cyprus, locating and excavating burial sites and mass graves. 

Research interests: Digital Heritage, Forensic Archaeology, Digital Curation, Illicit trafficking of cultural heritage
