Avgoustis Avgousti

Dr. Avgousti Research Focuses on Designing, Developing, and Applying Computational Tools and Methodologies to Advance the Fields of Digital Humanities and Heritage.

Over the past 13 years, Dr Avgousti has been a Senior Research and Technical Scientist in Digital Humanities and Digital Cultural Heritage Informatics at The Cyprus Institute's Science and Technology in Archaeology and Culture Research Center (STARC). He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Before joining The Cyprus Institute, he worked in the USA and Cyprus. Additionally, he served as a college lecturer.

Research interests: Digital Libraries, Digital Humanities, Semantic Web, Linked Open Data, Semantic Web Ontologies
